for granted
you took me for grantedÂ
you can call it what you wantÂ
you can deny it
but that’s exactly what you did.Â
i was a naive girl
with shaky handsÂ
butterflies in my stomachÂ
and a love for a boy that could make the earth shakeÂ
a love for a boy that could start firesÂ
a love for a boy that could cause the depths of the ocean to collapse in on itself,
drowning anything in its presence.
a love for a boy who couldn’t recognize my worth.
a love for a boy who held me in his palmÂ
and squeezed me as though i was scrap paper
when;
 he should’ve treated me like the sweetest love letter he’d ever read.

AMEN to that dear poet sister!!...... this is VERY well conveyed poetic prose...... and a narrative delivered with class and with a fine sense of style that certainly outpaces anything the man you mentioned here could ever even hope to compose!!...... It's also a VERY creative idea to have chosen the 'Love Letter' as a vehicle with which to convey those hurt feelings and a collapsed faith in trusting a man's motivations when it comes to be a young, immoral, Horn-Dog!! (pardon my language)...... you've done a VERY good job at expressing your confusion and disappointment poetically!!.........ALL STARS!!..... well penned dear poet sister!!........I am your cyber-friend and admirer!!........T xo. : )
that’s so sweet! thank you(:
