Many years ago, one mystery engulfed me
It was a time that still haunts, & drives, 
Wondering why it was lost, easily in the wind
And I realise so different, could of been our lives, 
Lowering my defense, my heart one by one 
You saw a part of me that very few ever saw, 
Before you came, my heart fell & bruised 
Gaining my trust not to hurt, leaving raw, 
Opened my heart & opened a soul to see
Daily falling into your eyes,wanting more, 
Recalling your smile & always worth while 
Healing my heart,ripped apart someone else tore, 
A young love that we cherished,from then to now
I will always hold a special place in my heart, 
Someone else now,holds the hand that once I did
Now seems a dream I slept,at least not from start, 
Those memories,locked away to view sometimes 
At times, when I need to know what could of been, 
Glad in the knowledge,you are happy settled down 
Happy I know I was your first, fate can be mean, 
Look in the mirror, wrinkles & scars
You look in the mirror,to see beauty & still, 
Wondering if you stop & ask about us & me
Now empty lays my heart, happiness you'd fill, 
Losing you will be, always a regret of mine 
You will be my first love I'll never forget, 
For I know if the past, could replay once more 
I couldn't forget you, my heart would not let,
