FOREVER LAND

He thought his pain would become easier to bear

With each passing year that he has spent alone.

He thought that time would eventually ease his heartache

And that he would finally accept the fact that she was gone.

But he was wrong!

His life is just getting harder!

Now he`s trying to cope with an emptiness so strong.

Everything just seems so pointless to him now!

As he just sits staring at her empty chair.

He just cannot face another day of silence without her

Now she is no longer with him there.

So he just sits and looks at their wedding photograph album

All those captured frozen moments of such a beautiful time.

He looks at the lovely gentle and adoring smile she shone upon him

As he remembers their promises to be together for all time.

He thinks of her love that was so pure and so sublime.

His loneliness and pain are just getting  deeper

His tears they so freely flow every day.

The ache in his heart is all consuming.

He really cannot wait to be back in her arms again one day.

In the quiet of the night he lays down and closes his eyes.

In his mind he sees her sit on the bed.

Then she gives him her hand

She smiles and quietly she says.

" Come with me my darling it is now time.

" Come with me to our Forever Land. "
