Forgiving and Forgetting

To forgive and to forget are two different things
Are they not? What possible joy can these two bring?
Forgiving is never easy, no matter what you think
Some people can’t forgive without some kind of brink
Forgetting is a lot easier, no matter what you feel
But to forget something, means something was real
I’m not sure if I’ll ever understand the two
But I know they are always there no matter what you go through
Forgiving and Forgetting are two different emotions
They live in your heart, which hides your true devotion
Forgiving means you accept something
Forgetting means something happened you’re regretting
Sometimes we confuse these two feelings
To find that the heart can create two different sealing's
Sealing's are what keep the heart intact
Because sometimes, forgiving and forgetting isn’t based on facts
Sometimes we forgive, so we don’t have to forget
Sometimes we forget, so we don’t have to forgive
But no matter what, Forgiving and Forgetting are two different things
Are they not? What possible joy can these two bring?

I believe that the Savior has the capacity to do both if we turn from sin. Thought provoking! ...........................Jim
Thank you for your continuous support and readings and comments. It truly does inspire me and make me want to continue my journey even more!
This is so true, unfortunately, if we want to make peace with ourselves, it is important that we do both. You don't have to care for the other person, but to care for yourself is the ultimate goal. If that makes any sense lol, much easier said than done. I hope you find peace Step! Kind regards. TFOTS
Thank you for commenting and taking the time to read this. I just write based off of what I feel should be written, but yes, I should take my own advice. But like you said, it's easier said than done.
Sorry if I was intrusive too! Again hope you find peace ;) kind regards. TFOTSÂ
No need to apologize. You're perfectly fine. :) xoxo
