NOT FORGOTTEN

Sometimes we'll feel out of place and empty, what do we do with the pain

When you are welcomed by many friends, but now you feel a change

We'll see so many things in life that leaves us speechless and feeling sad

Because, when we reach out with an open heart, Lord, we reach out with all we have

We will have many questions, and we won't know quite what to say

We may have never been to high school, nor learn the games so many play

When you believe you are friends with someone, but then they just walk on by

You will not understand the puzzle you see, and nobody is saying why

What will it take; tell us Father, how we will ever learn

That our happiness comes from within us, and our heart beats stronger when burned

We many not come out into the world often, we get forgotten by society

That is probably the hardest thing next to our pain that we live with, and it changes only our reality

Help us Lord, show us there is more than just being lost in the world and forgotten

You planted the seed of faith in us, teach us how we should tend to our garden

Sometimes we all need someone to whisper in the silence, "Your safe and you belong"

knowing that we'll find such friends one day will help us go on righting the wrongs...
