FRAGMENT

You aren't real anymore...you have become a beautiful fragment of my poignant imagination...just a temporary destination, a brief journey of desperation...now becoming devastation! Isolation! Desolation! Yes...empty, hollow degradation...Oh, how I've allowed manipulation to develop into the stipulation of what I thought we shared! Unconditional love with terms and conditions? What a paradox if I ever heard one! Such contradictions! As I cradle the bone fragments of a shattered heart, I question my motives...I question our purpose...Lord, tell me: Do I truly deserve this? I've attempted and failed so is it really worth this hurt that I've birthed, conceived out of wedlock near a lustrous hearth? A hearth full of flames ignited by sin? Tell me Lord! Tell me Father! Do I really love him? Is it love? Is it lust? Because his words I don't trust! A combustion of lies, incinerated to dust! A simple man is dust anyway when his heart beats no more! Father, forgive me for becoming his whore! On my knees on the floor! A slut behind my closed door! Dear God, PLEASE SAVE ME! I can not take anymore!! Yes, I KNOW, I have said this before! But I will say it again! Father, please liberate me from my bondage of sin! Reveal the truth to me! Strip the mask off of him! I'll admit it: I'M WEAK! I desire his flesh! But with my dying breath I will lay it to rest! Put to death what I've kept, all the tears I have wept fall like mist on the grave where the maggots have crept! Buried under the soil, rotting under the Earth! Engraved on the tombstone: "He Never Loved Her"! It is sad but it's true! I must let go of you...damning your ghost so it never breaks loose...from your coffin of lies, your casket of lust...beneath the fragments of dirt, you turn to dust...
