Once I loved a beautiful woman
It wasn't because I found her beautiful
But it was to serve my ego
In vanity I showed
I boldly showed
That such a lovely lady grasping onto me
Was a kindling
To a fire
Once I had such desire
Full of burning tendencies
Closing my mind to romance
and escaping its feel
I had only wanted adventure
That would let me see me
Smiling
But in the end I cried
For love, I tried and tried
But she left me and she smiled
As I watched her go I knew
There was not a thing I could do
Nothing that my vanity would remedy
I watched her leave and could see
The joy on her beautiful face
And suddenly I felt something I did not expect
"Let her go" said a voice
"Let her be"
I said "Alright, alright I will"
And now she is free
