Freeplex Poem - In Dreams I Fantasize

Dreams saturated in fallen stars
As I dance in this secret garden

As I dance in this secret garden
My thoughts become answered wishes

One for love, one for peace, and my answered wishes
Are the catalyst that will send me to you

Because my fantasy is for others to be happy, to you
I want to be your deepest dream come true

As I walk across every field of a different season
Kicking the red leaves before ice is crunching beneath my boots

And each berry I try has a chocolate filling
As I enjoy every sensation of this dream world

I have my love, and I have my peace, and I have you now,
As I imagine your visage standing there.

Note: I combined duplex and free verse poetry. The first 7 lines are Duplex and the last 7 lines are free verse. I did this because duplex feels too restrictive for my liking but I do like the idea of it, so I decided to combine the two styles to give myself more freedom to explore my idea of fantasy.

Being Me

Love how you have played around with the two forms here. Sometimes the rigidity of form works well but sometimes free verse is what is needed.

Thank you so much. I just think it is important to try different structures and expand creatively.

Being Me

Love this poem. The first lines really drew me in and the rest of the poem was well written so that it kept my attention. Lots of emotion in this that you did really well to express x

Thank you kindly,  I wanted to convey the emotion well and pull the reader into that world. I'm so glad that it had an impact on you :)
