Friends

Friends become enemies when they become unreliable
Friends become enemies when they become unfaithful
Friends become enemies when they become a stranger
Friends become enemies when they put you in danger
Friends become enemies when they drown you in fear
Friends become enemies even if you’ve known them for years
Friends become enemies because we learn to let stuff slide
But it's the friends who stay friends and never hide
That keep the balance in life neutralÂ
It's those types of friends who give you self control
It’s those types of friends who will be with you until your gray and old
It’s those types of friends who you will take to your grave
It’s those types of friends that people sometimes crave
I have people I call my friends, but I have friends who I also call my enemies
Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.
