From a Distance

You stand afar and look at my life from a distance

Unknown to you, my life only glitters from a distance

You're green with envy because of what you see

You are jealous

You wish to be me

You wish to be in my shoes

You wish to have it like I do

You have no idea of the sleepless nights

You have no idea of the tears I shed when I'm alone

You have no idea how the shoes hurt

Do not envy me, I have my fears

Do not envy me, I have my troubles

Do not envy me, I have my worries

Do not envy me, I have my weakness

If  only you'd leave the distance and come closer

You'd understand who I truly am and not just what you see from a distance!
