Precious Lives
Innocent lives cut short
Seemingly bright future abort
No longer will they see
Stars in the sky like a sea
The beautiful sun so bright
Nor the moon in the night
They are no longer on this side
Now on the other side they abide
They never knew their end
Will come without an offend
With impending death due
They had not the slightest clue
Their only crime, being where they were
Maybe the right place but timing defer
Infants who were to have their first communion
Will now with their maker have a lasting one
They wonβt live to be eighteen
Our hearts are broken to smithereens
Hundreds of soul, a bloody day it was
With broken and grieving hearts in its wake
Who will end our tears and make the world a better place?
