The Vow

I promise to love you no matter what life throws our way
When things move smoothly and all worries are blown away
Even when things go wrong and plans thrown into disarray

When tempers fly and we say things we don’t really mean
Wish to retrieve those words but hearts are blown to smithereens
Such moments don’t always last, they are only but smokescreens

I have taken a vow before God and man to love you with all my heart
