FRUIT SALAD

All the fruits showed so much self control
Not one of them minded going into a bowl
The strawberry and raspberry got on so well 
So did the kiwi and lime as far as I could tell 

No seeds of the melon were actually shed 
Orange pips weren't there it must also be said
The apple wasn't bad or rotten to the core
No whining made by grapes I know for sure 

None of the fruits slipped on the banana peel
The plum was perfect and really quite genteel 
So this fruit salad worked out well in every way 
It was just the single cream that spoilt the day
