Futility Of Violence

You hurt them because they hurt you
And they did to you what was done to them
Where does this end?
Never when blood is shed does anyone win,
Because everyone believes that they are a victim
So, no one admits to making a mistake
And the insanity becomes a loop
One that sets fire to everything in its path,
Destroying lush green trees and the smiles of happy people
Violence erases life
And leaves us and our planet barren
Covered in ashes, not patches of lime green grass
And a red sky stained with death and pain,
Ignorance and rage
A lunacy created by doing the same thing
And living with the same hate
Because you didn't have the moral fortitude
To walk away and forgive.

Hello K.G...

Some people admit when their wrong...

Not too many but, there are some...

Some people wait decades for an apology...

When an apology doesn't come within a year of them knowing they were wrong I don't think an apology is coming...

I don't know why people hold on to apologies other than their pride...

When people heartfully forgive the worst anything else can easily be forgiven because, nothing's perfect especially people....

Some people I think fall in love with their grudges...

Some people stay mad forever while others know the harm that it can cause physically and some mentally and emotionally...

Some people realize Life is too short to hold on to it for a long time or forever...

It's a form of protection for them...

I know people who took almost 50 years to let go of a grudge...

Some never do...

Some is generational...

Definitely don't try and hold your breath for an apology...

You will die...

Great write!

Thank you for sharing...
