Future

Future

Time fills the space provided.
Sharpness cuts through misalignment.
Insomnia plays its dutiful part.
Excitement battles my logical half.

I feel like it was for the greater good.
From what I have seen and understood.

But have I learned? What have I earned?
Which statements, stand?
Which falls to Earth?

Which crumbled foundations have cracked open urns?
Watch those ashes fly away.

It's not as if I wish to stay.
Though I do dread to return.
I littered Horcrux, 5 or 6
So sometimes pages are forced to turn.

And in closing remarks - I wish to go on more adventures.
To the thick, the deep and far.
For the journey is worth more than the destination.
For the people, for the dream of the dance.

For myself.
For my heart.

And for the future.
