Poem -
THE GIVEN
Gasp in the greatness of a given
while I donate my breath
and unsheathe my bated tongue
I meant no harm within this magnificence
A forbidden entrance scarred an epitaph
well before words were manufactured
and there, those fractured voices
dwell in doubt, unable to shout
about the factual moment of  independence
Remaining among the ancients are some
the fine printed, upon dotted line remnants
The shreds of balance whom spare
mere mortal meanings of the humans being
left to gasp in the greatness of a given.
