Gladiators
My adversary has no chance, out of his legion,
lacks stamina, intuition, perspicacity and reason,
he should withdraw before being thrown to the lions,
although it was doubtful about his honorable intentions.
It would be more fortuitousĀ if he returned to his 'sticks,'
lacking cogent discourse, resorting to pathetic tricks;
my blade continues around his ears, support in tears,
it's best to concede before the realization of his fears.
But lo, I do not need to end his miserable existence,
after all, he's only in the arena by pure happenstance,
if I turn my back, he may just rise with ball and chain,
only to endanger his slovenly life, again and yet again.
Therefore, I stand on his head with weak body pinned,
he says: 'Forgive me mon liege, for I have surely sinned.'
