Poem -

Glass Heart

My glass heart,
You broke,
Shattered,
You tore all apart,
Hindsights 20/20,
Trusting you wasn't smart.

My glass heart,
I trusted you to protect,
Instead you just dropped it,
And now I am the one,
Who lives with regret.

Because you didn't steal my heart,
I gave it to you willingly,
And for this reason,
I blame myself,
For all the bad you did to me.

Now I just gather all my broken pieces,
I try to put them back together,
I try to rebuild my heart,
In hopes one day I can trust it with another.
