Glitter Tears

Glitter Tears

Within me rages a devouring fire that melts my soul to liquid Amber

Nourishing my veins with molten lava cavorting like a frenzied Samba

But, no one feels my sultriness or my searing fever

Passers-by see only a wisp of smoke fading into the ether

The icy solitaire faƧade is just a shimmery mask of dupe

Come close, come closer, veiled and cryptic, I remain a mute

Look into the aperture, do you see the gleam of glitter tears?

Weeping, bleeding from my essence, teetering on the edge of fears
