Gloria In Excelsis Deo

Gloria In Excelsis Deo

'He's not here, ' my guide said to me, 'He's nowhere,'
I said: 'What do you mean?' He said: 'What did you expect -
a white cloud sitting on a throne with a golden sceptre
in one hand, waving your pathetic admissions right away?'

'Listen,' I said: 'This is my first time, don't be so rude,'
'At least here I would expect some form of courtesy,'
the guide floated off with me just muttering behind,
I noticed that there were no animals of any kind.

The guide showed me into a waiting room all in gold,
I could see my old indiscretions doing as they were told,
some went away when they saw me, others glared,
they said: 'You're lucky to be here, you never cared.'

No one came, now I knew exactly what I had to do,
we all shuffled out, I saw the 'baddies' also in the queue.
