"A ghost I was,
more dead than living,
and sadly,
I was,
giving,
in to this disease.
Drugs were the only,
needs being met,
and for 15 years,
I was the Devil's Pet.

All my thoughts,
were on,
how to obtain,
those drugs,
to run away,
in my brain.
Because of my pain,
I couldn't deal,
and because of that,
I couldn't heal.

You eventually get tired,
of running away,
and get the strength from God,
to face the day.
Because things won't get better,
if you stay paralyzed using,
all the drugs that you're abusing.

Get up right now,
and make a better life happen,
and surrender to God,
make Him the Captain.
Let Him steer,
you through all of your fear,
so you can get,
from there to here."
