Goodbye my love

Goodbye my love

Where one ends, the other begins….
Two beating hearts rhythmically beating as one,
Entwined souls bound by love so strong that neither could outrun.
My love, my soulmate, my other half,
In these darkest of hours that spill into the darkest of nights,
I cling to the memories when we would smile and laugh.
Our time as one may be closing to an end….
But how, my love, do I say goodbye forever to my best friend?
So many memories, so many years,
My heart is broken and I’m drowning in tears.
How do I part knowing I’ll never again wake to the sound of your breath on my neck?
Or the warmth of your lips on mine, and the touch of your fingers entwined with mine?
You are so much apart of me that it’s hard to imagine you not in my life,
You as my husband and I as your wife.
My love for you has always been limitless,
But sadly, sometimes love isn’t enough to tame the restless.
