Grateful Fish
Awareness Poem
Beeping cars
A Facebook post
The trees - they grow
Truth melting
Like a bar of soap
Perfume in the breeze
Hay fever sneeze
Lying at all costs
Talking crap
That`s got to stop.
But freeze
Let`s press pause
And look at these things,
That we ignore
I may be hurting, but I`m not thirsty
I don`t fear dying at thirty
I may be alone, but I have a home
With walls not made of stone
I maybe I'm upset, but I`m not dead
I have never seen someone - behead.
I may be feeling like a lot, but I havenât been shot.
Or stolen, at night, from my cot.
So Western group, when your done bickering
About red or blue
Think about that for a moment or two
Because although it does not affect me or you
You had a 1/3 chance of being those unfortunate few.
Bicker about that.
The Fish of the Sea.

Inspired by Marion, Patrick and Kieran! I hope you enjoy it. Kind regards. The Fish of the Sea
Great job!
Thanks so much, Bell! Should have said it was inspired by you too, I knew I missed someone! Kind regards. The Fish of the Sea.
Thanks for the like Luma~ I really like you reading my poems, hopefully, like to see some of yours soon... Talk to you soon...The Fish of the Sea.
Brilliant write my friend...you are Soooo right...though I think suffering is relative. It is no good telling a mother she is better off because she only lost one child when that woman lost three...do you see my point? We all suffer...and unfortunately you can suffer as badly on a plush settee as under a tree in a jingle. To count our blessings while we have them though is always a good idea...I really do count mine every night at this stage in my life, I didn't always, maturity and life events teach us to take nothing for granted...very thought provoking write as you can see from my great ramble...đđ Â
Aww, thanks So much, Marion and so very true, we should all count our blessings for the life we are given, but sometimes it does seem like people take advantage of that... the best we can do if be personally grateful I suppose. I`m glad this poem made you think, no worries about your ramble, all my poems are like that XD. I`m glad you enjoyed it though. Kind regards. The Fish of the Sea.
Fish great poem. From reading this poem I understand why you liked my quote so much. The truth is earth doesn't need us...we need the earth...yet we are the ones destroying it. I wish there could be a massive global change in the right direction but its lead by idiots in power after money and popularity. I mean what is more important that life?!Â
Thanks for this poignant piece. Pxđ
Awww thanks so much, and yes... that may have been the reason XD... so very true P, with the best interests of the few, brings the downfall of the many... so very sad to this stark reality is true... Best wishes to you and thanks for the comment again~ TFOTS
Hi Fish,
You are definitely a mysterious writer (I mean that in a good way) I get a sense that you are a young adult and your eyes are definitely wide open.
Great write - Syd xoÂ
I'm not gonna say otherwise to hitting that nail on the head XD... but thanks so much, tis important that I stay a mystery because of poems like my Confession Time but yeah. I'm really glad you liked this poem and took some time to read it. It really means so much. Kind regards and best wishes to you Syd. TFOTSÂ
I'm exactly the same Fish. You've probably guessed that my real name isn't Syd. I value my anonymity very highly. The company which I work for is multi national and very well known. They would take a dim view on most of the topics I write about.

We all have our secrets Syd, no harm in that ;). Best wishes to you. G'day from Aus. TFOTSÂ
