Poem -

grey

grey

In the realm of the everyday,

where routine paints in muted tones,

we find the world draped in the fabric of the mundane.

Morning commutes, a river of sameness,

faces buried in newspapers and screens,

while coffee cups steam in silent symphony.

Office hours tick by, a metronome of monotony,

keystrokes and mouse clicks composing the day's drab rhythm.

Lunch breaks under fluorescent lights,

conversations peppered with small talk,

as we shuffle through the motions,

comfort in the familiar cadence.

Evenings return us home,

to the soft glow of television sets,

where we sink into couches,

lulled by the lullaby of prime time.

This is really good Thomas. Great description of the mundane.
It doesn't have to be like that.
