Grief

It's amazing how grieving, mostly for a
loved ย one reminds us of our own imortality
It reminds you how transient ย and temporal life isย
and then you remember morality
Most times whiff of a body spray, the soundย
of someone's voice or the color of someone's hair
Can evoke memories of loved ones, some youย
cherish and others you wish they were never there
Some memories would make you wishย
you had done somethings differently
like spending more time, being there orย
just touching their lives significantly
Others would make you think of those promisesย
you made but never got round to keeping them
You remember when they needed at least your timeย
but you were too busy, you valued money above them
You think of those calls you never made,ย
those things you didn't say, visits you didn't pay
It makes you wish you could turn back theย
hands of time and do them while you may
Now that you're still here and can makeย
things right with people who really care
visit them, call them, tell them how muchย
they mean to you, show them you care
Nobody knows what would happenย
the next moment, we aren't privy to know
You can be laughing this minute andย
the next they are gone, you know?
Don't wait until you're grieving...then the regrets
Do the right thing now....treat them like assets

Great write and great advice at end..
Thanks so much Mark
Hi Rose This is a great write my thoughts are the ย
same ย as yours .When someone passes you have regrets, did you do enough
more than likely we did .but we always think perhaps weย could have done moreย
A lovely well written pieceย
Lots of love ย Debsย
Absolutely Debs....Thanks for always being there...I appreciate
Lots of love
My Sweet Rose,
As the cliche states, "you don't know what you've got until you lose it". ย So often we are caught up in the vortex of our humanity, that the monetary gains, overshadow the purest of love. ย All too soon, we ingest the mistakes we made, as a loved one passes, never to have been given our undivided love. Afterwards, we weep, for it wakes us up to the reality that life is so transient, and if you accept the temptation of its "Golden Routes", you will forfeit the beauties of its greatest gift, the true love of those who surround you.
Hugs, Peace and Love,
xox Larry
Absolutely!...You're so on point Sweet Larry....Thanks for stopping by...I appreciate
Lots of love
Hey rose I agree , making sure we do things right this time andย ย not living with regret. Regret is bad a thing to carry around , I have my own inner demons but as time moves forward God will open up new avenues for the future, much to think about !! Take care rockย
Thanks for agreeing...We tend to take people for granted while they are still here and it is when they are gone that we realized our mistakes.....We all have our inner demons...Amen!...Thanks so much for stopping and for your words...I appreciate
You know this one touches my heart because of losing my husband . ย It's so important to always let someone know how you feel . ย Do what you can do while they are alive and no in your heart you did your best and never feel guilty about what you didn't do. ย :) hugs .
