Grief

Grief

So many wind whipped shores, the mist swirling above my head.

I cannot find my bearings; I am lost in the waves.

The undertow is dragging me below the water.

I am gulping for air and getting only sand and water.

Looking for the surface and only seeing nothingness.

I cannot find an escape, I have tried Lord, I have tried.

I see no end in sight my heart is broken.

Into a million shards of tiny grains of broken light.
