Half Life

Half Life

It is difficult to breathe as the sun disappears

A vacuum envelops the heart

Muffled silence stifles blooming dreams

And jackals feast on the baggage

Droplet tears are covertly adorned

While mourning the duet of unity

Half a heart inspects proposed mortality

As mirror image slips into twilight

Thank you Rose. There are a lot of vets in my family. Two brothers, my father, two uncles, and more... I see them react to the way vets are treated and I do my best to remind them that they are appreciated... for everything.Β

Glad you enjoyed this, hugs and Blessings hon, Rebecca
