Happy Birthday our precious Cody, sixteen years ago today;
You were born with your predestination, of coming to us that May!
We chose you from six siblings, for you were a scrapper, feared by all;
We thought when you met our Nico, you both would have a ball!

And sure enough it happened, it was love at your first sights;
Your hearts and Souls were bonded, together day and night!
Our canvas was completed, our boys the final touch;
On this masterpiece we created, titled “We love so very much”!

You both brought us to Nirvana, we shared the epitome of joy;
Each day we spent together, with our blessed little boys!
To hold you close was Heaven, to kiss you, love personified;
To take you out in public, was our greatest source of pride!
.
But now you both have left us, victims of canine’s short longevity;
All too soon departing, the termination of our family!
But we never will forget you, and are throwing you both a kiss;
For Cody’s Birthday up in Heaven, which we would never want to miss!
