HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

And thank you for being the type of Dad that understands it.  The kind that actually was around.

Thank you Tone.  I'm wondering, are the memories that came back of your Dad, or being a Dad?

As I explained to Cheri, I was unusually my pop.  Not only did he raise me, but we worked together for 23 years.  

That wasn't to say we didn't have our moments.  Son of Norwegian immigrants, like many Norskie's he was a coffee fiend.  So one day at the shop, where he always had a fresh pot brewed, a friend and I decided to hide Dad's coffee on April Fool's day.  To make a long story short, Dad had a caffeine fit, and new immediately that evil was afoot.  Of course I denied any shenanigans.

The gentle giant I had grown up with (picture a humble version of Jesse Venture) was soon seen chasing me and my friend through the steel mill with a hammer in hand.  Thank God I could out run him.

Dad had another fault Tone.  Like many men from the WWII and Korea, Dad was a chain smoker.  If your a dad, and you smoke, give them a gift that will make them happy; quite.

I miss the guy terrible.
