Happy Mew Year!!
Happy mew year to you,
Happy mew year to you!
I don't see how it changes,
But happy mew year to you!
All that i see that's mew,
Is the date is wrong now!
Why it's wrong i won't have a clue...
Because my memory won't allow!

Life goes on just the same,

There's an acerbic bitterness in this piece which is unusual in your work. The forced, almost maniacal, cheeriness perfectly captures so much of that strained, insincere jollity that people seem to think is expected of them round the holidays.
Of course this poem could also be written in the voice of a particularly ironical cat!!
