Hard Times

            
Me and you often suffer hard times it seems our life is always that way,
Not knowing from moment to moment how we can survive another day.
We've been stranded and gone hungry we’re at the end of our rope,
Wondering should we try harder or completely give up hope.
We have lost it all then got it back only to lose it all again,
We work so hard to go forward just to end up back where we began.
But crazy as it sounds we are lucky we had these hard times together,
After all we have had thrown at us we know we can handle stormy weather.
We never break but get stronger with every disaster we get through,
So no matter what life throws at us I know I will be fine if I have you.
Not everyone has that person to lean on some must face this world alone,
Unprepared for how bad it can get until trouble comes and they are shown.
But me and you together can get through anything that comes our way,
And I have to believe eventually good times will come around to stay.
