HARDEST THING

Letting go was possibly one of the hardest things
That I ever had to do
I miss you sometimes and I want you there
But deep down inside me I know you don't truly care
This might be hard for you to hear
As you think you never did anything wrong, but you did
You walked out on your kid, you got locked up inside
You broke me in many ways, now you pretend things are alright
I understand you want to move on, but it's something
That I will never probably do, all because of you
I was a kid having to grow up so fast, had to sit in a visiting room
The guards watching my every move
I had a good life don't get me wrong
I had the most amazing dad, who gave me everything you didn't
I'm so happy with the life that I had
He raised 3 young children on his own, and he did great
Now you sit there and give him hate which is disgusting if you ask me
He made me who I wanted to be
He put my needs first, he never broke my heart like you did
He never left his kid.

This is my way of letting go...
