HAUNTED

HAUNTED

Something drifted past my window in the wind,
Somethings moving in the hall,
Can’t say this house is empty since you said goodbye
I’m not lonely at all

A sliver of the moon reflected in my glass,
the bitter taste of memories
A wisp of smoke a dying cigarette
The fading glow of you and me

No need to visit there’s no reason to call
It’s only me here and I’m not lonely at all
I’m just haunted by your memory
I’m haunted

I stare out the window from your favorite chair
Shadows flicker voices call
The lacy curtains shiver in the cold night air
Your phantom faces line the wall

Something drifted past my window in the wind,
Somethings moving in the hall,
Can’t say this house is empty since you said goodbye
I’m not lonely at all
I’m not lonely at all
I’m not loneLy

Thank you sir, it was just as much fun writing the music as writing the lyrics.

Thank you ma’am,
a smart ghost knows the hinted at, the unseen are far more scary.
