The Haunting

The Haunting

Long ago, the fire took the entire town, no one survived the tragedy

Smoke fills the air, dead pieces of paper, burnt up, charcoal, floating by

The smell of the stinge keeps lingering, though the church bell still rings

Echoing through the mountains, like the chilling memory of  death it brings

Torment to the ground, the bones lay filtered, with pain, demons of the night

Climb the stone walls of the abandoned charred town, no longer can you breathe

Nor can you see, peering from the corners of your mind, the hollowed eyes of their grave

The haunting will continue for centuries to come, no living, no forgiving, no being

Can ever come back to this place again, though it be so haunting

As your blinding love keeps taking me, into your arms, I will be, dressed up

In a tuxedo, you long to take me, take my ravished skin, mingle and fondle my sin

As I stop to breathe
