Heart and soul

My heart is like an open book, If you take the time to have a look.

There,s many facets to every page, Like good wine, Improves with age.

With a multitude of well-thumbed pages, explaining my story through all it's stages.

When I was young I nearly lost my way and very nearly went astray.

Then I had a premonition, that made me make the right decision.

To think of others before myself, Not worry about money or others wealth.

I was lucky to provide, With a family by my side.

All I did was for the best, I think that I've been truly blessed.

I worked so hard all my life, Had my share of pain and strife.

Now I reap the seeds I've sown, Now my children have had their own.

Grandchildren give me so much joy, as I now have a Girl and boy.

I look back at all I've done and have no regrets, not a one.

The thread bear pages tell my story, Of my life in all it;s glory.
