HEART BEATEN

Oh Oh....
I've got a heartbeat.....
Now I hope she don't notice
My chests pounding repeat.
Her thoughts of me dead
Are now plaguing my head
As I come back to life
In this hospital bed.
Where she took care of me
Like a dog full of fleas
But my only disease
Still exists...while she breathes.
So any hopes of me passing her by, are long gone...
As I wake with a head and a heart....feeling strong.
Now I leave feeling high
From the meds...
All this said....
I cannot believe
Loving her was so wrong.
