Heart Versus Mind

The battle that differs depending on the day.
The challenge of hesitation and fear of disarray.
Worried that you sided wrong.
Knowing eroding from your regrets, it won’t be long.

The heart isn’t always ethical but the mind isn’t always human.
The heartless are souls that are ruined;
While the mindless are those who are stupid; 
But in the end who are we to say which is the righteous path?
Trying to calculate and analyze but who said anything about our emotions being math?
Or our logic being emotion.
It’s all one big hypocritical illusion.
The balance of right and right,
Or should I say wrong and wrong?
Wondering when you go to bed at night.
Will you bring them burdens along?
Can your judgement be trusted, or at least respected?
Will you be criticized for your involvement causing neglection?
Or stoned for your by the book, no tolerance approach?
The war forever resides in every decision we make.
The question is can we live with our mistakes?
