Heaven and Hell

Heaven and Hell

Can I not evaporate into the endless ocean of wishful oblivion?
Where the sound of nothingness rocks and lulls me into sleep.
To slip into the lands of the dreams I stole, and upon the shore;
souls of the hurt hang in trees like sad birds with broken wings.
To forget the heaven and hell I found in your eyes; to forget love.
and lie in stillness, in eternal winter, my tears hidden in heavy rain.
Neither moon rises, nor sunsets, colours mute to a palette of grey.
I’ll listen to the weeping sighs of loved nights; of unmade memories.
To write the end of my fable, a chronicle of tomorrow in fading ink.
You think I just want to disappear but, really I so wish to be found.
