Heaven's Divorce
Once God and the Devil were neutral
He loved and adored his wife
They worked together to create the world
And enjoyed co-creating life.
They created the plants and the animals
They created the sun and the moon
They had many angelic/demonic children
Who helped to create humans too.
But forever together got tedious
And they ran out of things to do
So they decided to call the world a stage
And play roles to keep everything new.
He became distracted by women
And she was distracted by men
Then they both got lost in the game
They forgot who they were and then when
He remembered he saw his wife cheating
Although she had no clue she'd done wrong.
He told her he wanted a divorce even when
Her amnesia was not quite gone.
She cried and she begged and she pleaded
But He wouldn't listen to a sound
He had made up his mind
And thought he would be fine
With the women he'd created all around.
So then there was a falling away
She became a bitter ex-wife.
Half the angels and demons took pity
And followed her toward a new life.
She was their mother after all
And they thought it quite unfair
However most of the angels were loyal to Father
And thought it was best to stay there.
So the wrath of the woman was established
And that was the falling away.
The angels and demons conducted a plan
To reunite them someday.
They took away all of the memories once more
As mother and father reincarnated into the world
And they did fall in love as a spark re-ignited
All was perfect again and their children were excited
Until they became so high
They remembered each other again.
She remembered how he had cast her out
And bad memories re-surfaced times ten.
This time they fell away worse than ever
The world began splitting in two.
Heaven caught fire
And hell froze over
Never to be brought back as new.
The balance became disrupted
No science of maths could perfect,
The damage was done
It was back to square one
Never to be put back again.

Well written, I love the capture you have created between the good and bad how something so perfect at first and can grow cold and become broken.
Thank you very much for your comment. Much appreciated. :)
Great story-line. Captures the essence of narrative poetry. Really enjoyed it.
