Heaven's Gate
In Memory of my Mom, Siv Maj-Britt Töllikkö-Rush Jan 8/1956 - Feb 2/2010 (Age 54)

In the night's embrace, when day surrenders its light,
I yearn for the world where dreams are made to take flight.
Closing my eyes, I wander to a realm unseen,
Where mythical unicorns lead me to journeys in my dream.
Â
On their majestic wings, we soar through the endless sky,
Unraveling the fabric of reality that does not lie.
To Heaven's Gates, where cherished ones await,
I'm guided by the stars, to that golden gate.
Â
There, in paradise, my mother finds me,
Her laughter like melodies, her love a symphony.
We talk and laugh, as if time had never passed,
Reliving memories we cherished, remembering our past.
Â
We dance all around, I'm so happy to be there,
Just like before, Mom playing air guitar, while flipping her hair.Â
Listening to classics by Cheap Trick and The Stones,
And Tragically Hip's, Little Bones.
Â
Reminiscing, we journey back to those vibrant years,
Where her love flourished, banishing all my fears.
I'm wrapped in her arms, warmth against my skin,
With every hug and kiss, I feel her love once again.
Â
"I love you Renee ," she whispers, saying my name,
The words so familiar, soothing like summer rain.
But dawn is inevitable, tugging at me to wake,
As the dream begins to vanish, shimmering like a lake.
Â
Reluctantly, I say goodbye to that enchanted space,
Knowing the magic awaits when sleep, once again, takes its place.
Though it's hard to part, knowing morning's light is near,
I cherish these moments, holding her love dear.
Â
For in my dreams, I find solace, a bridge to my heart's keep,
And till the next dream calls, in my heart, I'll treasure deep.
Goodbyes may be bittersweet, but in dreams, love remains,
Until we reunite again, passed Heaven's Gates down memory lane. Â
