That Day

I believe that it’s all a lie,
You know, how they say we’re going to die.
I think it’s just because they don’t know
Where we’re really going to go.

We’ve learned that we’re made up of energy,
And that energy can’t be destroyed.
So, the only thing that’s a mystery
Is why this is a conversation we all avoid.

Okay, I understand that it’s scary to talk about death.
To talk about that day…
That day… the person that we loved, took their last breath,
And how the pain just wouldn’t go away.

We really are made up of energy.
We won’t die; we will be transformed into something else.
We will live for eternity,
And wherever that is, I hope we all can be happy.
