HER SMILE

Her smile left an indentation
Like footprints in the sand
Her smile touched the lives of many
As I came to understand
Like footsteps left in concrete
Forever etched upon my mind
She left an indelible mark on the world
When she left her smile behind
I see her smile, every morning
When the sun begins to rise
And then again, in the evening
Among the stars, that light the skies
Her smile left an indentation
Imprinted upon my heart
