The Hitchhiker
Outside in the dead of night
A lonesome figure roamed in sight,
Thumb held high,a girl so somber
On her way to where...I wonder?
Bleak is her stare, matching the cold
Always travelling this endless road
Countless strangers offering lifts,
Concerned for a young girl who at night time drifts...
On her way home...her final destination,
A lifetime of seeking for transportation-
And when this passenger graces your seat..
In creeps the cold ,biting at your feet
In silence she sits as numbness reveals...
A terror with which you just cannot deal
Mind forming words your mouth will not speak
Resulting in your paralyzing fete
As your sweat morphs into chilling blood,
Streams in a vile supernatural flood-
Its daring you to fight for your sanity...
The only thing that now links you to humanity
Keep your eyes on the road I suggest,
Never turning your head to stare at death
Point your car's nose toward the trail -
To where the board shows up,"Union Dale"
It is here, Survivor that you'll lose that tremor,
Which mummified you with such horrid grandeur
Fright has flown...returning warmth to the bone
Breathe..!For your passenger exited and left you alone
