Poem -

Hoarder

Dark thoughts,
guarded by dark angels,
held tight,
hidden from sight,
put away,
hoarded,
guarded tightly,
held so close,
like an infection,
they spread,
across the entirety of the body.
They are held,
so hard,
against the reality,
of the lightness,
of the steel bearer,
that is just the body,
of a soul,
trapped so thoroughly,
in the weight of darkness,
as the thoughts weigh them down,
they merely fight,
battling for the sanity,
they have no grip on,
they always fight.
Even in the hardest of times,
the most brutal of thoughts,
is hidden from the sight of others,
as the thoughts,
of slipping away,
flying away,
scream and spasm their way through their bodies,
they present the same lie,
the same happiness,
even as the darkness spreads,
they hoard it so closely,
it starts to kill them,
hiding the pain,
they smile politely,
and carry on fighting their private wars.
