hope like a fly

On a sad night
She put her faith
Into the wrong fight
She pled to her knight
Help me
Save me
She cried
Fix me
As hope got out of her mouth
And into the air,
trying to get into the heart of the knight
But the man simply waved the hope away
Like an annoying fly
He put on a smirk
And pulled her into a kiss
Both gave way to a mesmerizing high
And that was all he did for her
The knight
walked back into the dark night
And never turned back to see
Her on her knees
In that thorn garden
Yelling
Why couldn’t you try
To help me
Save me
She cried
To fix me
She tried to catch her hope back
But it was flying free in the wind’s clean breeze
Wasted for her naive self
But ready to be captured again
Not by a damsel in distress
Afeared by pouring rain
But to a mistress
Faithful to herself

This is intense, Malwa! Very tragic and beautifully written. A tale of overcoming the heartbreak. I can sense a bit of light here. BÂ
Thank you so much Bernadete!!
