Poem -

Hopefully a "pick me up"

I feel grosser than most

but then again

maybe I'm just not my type

truly beauty is in the eye of the beholder

we might not see it in ourselves but we'll see it in others

who then in turn may see it in us

it's not exactly a table turning moment

more of another table seeing the first table for what it is to the second table

some may see beauty

some may see hate

some may see envy

some may see great

some will love you

others will not

but that shouldn't stop you

why not see what some may see

why not choose to love that of which you always see

Love what's in front of you

and to the side and from behind

for passing the love around

will lead to happiness and shit

I'm sorry I don't have the best way with words

I try to speak true from which I believe

like loving everyone despite what they seem

really not much else to tell

but try to go easier on yourself

for you may not see much

but someone will look and see a god(dess)

Hi Dana,

Great write.  Not often, do we read about the powerful emotion of love juxtaposed next to such a wry wit of jocularity.  Your poem, even though it illustrates the depths of inner retrospection, still glides along easily allowing the reader to stand atop your hills of humor.  I think on this one, you really had your "shit together".

Peace and Love,

xox Larry
