Hospital bed

Here I lay in my hospital bed
Listening to the clock go tick tick tick
Feeling sick doctors and nurses
Taking this or that test to make me feel My best they say get some rest
It won’t be long before I sing
Can’t keep a good Man down
They act like clowns and all the other rooms The hospital bed.

Great poem. I had to stay in a hospital for ten days in 2014, and for the first several days that I was there, I was fed through an IV. It was bad enough that I was cooped up in the hospital room but not being able to eat anything was awful. You did a good job with this poem.Â
Hi Greg,
Great write ; hope you're OK now.

Hello Greg...
I didn't know you were sick...
Sorry to hear that...
Hospitals aren't fun all the time but, better then the alternative if there weren't any though...
I've spent so much time in Hospitals that I can get so spoiled now...
The Nurses and Doctors all love me no matter which one I have to go to...
Fortunately, the last time I was in the last time I was in the Hospital was in 1985...
I was in there for 5 1/2 weeks...
I almost was admitted a few years ago but, I was able to dodge that one altogether, barely...
I haven't gotten close again so far...
No jinx please...
I'm glad you're better...
Great write on not such a completely fun subject...
Thank you for sharing...

Yes I have been sick for sometime now and it turned out after I fell my sister took me to the ER spent six hours there they did every test they could urine test it was fine to only to find out that my sodium level was way way down so they sent me to the hospital Where I spent three days I did every test they could and all my test came out normal they changed my blood pressure medication that was a diuretic to a much higher dose that was not a diuretic which was causing my low sodium level while in there all the food that they gave me was diabetic as I am a diabetic what I could eat was quite interesting so after three days they decided to let me go the new blood pressure medication is working well I feel a lot better trying to find somebody else to mow my lawn because I’m getting too old to mow the lawn in the heat I am 65 I didn’t watch TV in the hospital I just listen to the clock all day and night didn’t get much sleep either because I kept coming in checking my blood pressure my sugar levels and when I first got there my blood pressure was 200/73 they did finally get it down to 150/73 are yet to check it now on the new blood pressure medication from now on if I do not feel well like that I will say something health is better than not feeling well thank you for your concern bless you
