House of Cards

My life is like a games of cards,
Spades or even poker.
But I always lose in every way,
Because I get stuck with the joker.

The kings and queens they rule it all,
And the jacks are always better.
But my few cards hold only numbers,
I don't tend to find a letter.

The only card with the alphabet included,
Are these stupid jokers.
I think of them like little devils,
Running around with pokers.

I ask them for help to be free,
But they always tell me to hush.
How am I supposed to win,
When they have the royal flush.

All I need is to learn,
I want to be free of my mind.
But the kings and queens and jacks alike,
Are always a three of a kind.

All along these kings and queens,
They stop me from learning.
So here I am all alone,
And my house of cards is burning.
