How to be Calm

Whenever I feel stressed
I stop and think back
To my early childhood memories:
Playschool and Infant School-
A time of freedom from responsibility.
A time of painting and drawing
Of singing and dressing up.
Bedtime stories. School.
A time of having nothing to worry about.
How easily this mindset can be forgotten.
It's funny how much reality
Can be skewed by perception
Newspapers create a kind of deception.
So we think the World
Is for the most part a worrying place.
So just do your best- I say-
For yourself and the World
Give generously to good causes
And become involved
in them if you can.
I try to keep a serenity
Through the hustle and bustle
And notice the small things
Like a smile or a door held open.
And think that the World is not such a terrible place.

There are crucial moments in which it is essential to remain calm before snatch and get carried away by anger, an excess of passion or fear, thinking in infancy, for some it may be a remedy, but for others, something worse so you worry, there is no infallible personal remedies because each person is a different world, for not panicking and being able to act with Temperance the best is take a deep breath and count to ten does not fail.
