Poem -

How I am made

How I am made

Dreams have poured into
all the dark places in my soul.
Silence now saturates my
pillow where once tears flowed.
A silence so deep,
I can hear the moon breathe;
I hear the cigarette burn.
My thoughts, as naked as the stars
run riot through these dreams
and cut them to shreds.
My thoughts always turn to you,
to your face,
to your smile.
I drank down your lies
It tasted like love
It sparkled like love
But, our birds that once
danced in the abyss
cling to the cliff edge in fear.
I have felt everything you have;
in my bones that break when you cry
in the sadness that seeps from my eyes.
I felt too deep
I fell too hard.
It is never a choice
It is just...how I am made.

HI Caron....It must be the way I love too...lol...all the way with no going back and with full intensity of emotions. Very powerful portrayal with perfect imagery in words to describe that devoted spirit of love even in the midst of getting hurt by one who does not deserve such attention it seems....You always make me feel when I read your work and I love that!  Pinned to be inspired over and over. xo ;)

Thank you so much Cherie, for your very kind comments.
Although I work very long hours and don´t get much time to write, I knew this morning I had to write. It´s a release for me, like I´m sure it is for a lot of people.
I am so honoured that my poetry makes you feel so much, which implies that I am able to portray my feelings accurately.  xx

Good one! XD
I like this style pretty much, cause I like to use multiple sentences aswell and then change just one word. + The story behind it might hit you spot on depending on the mood you are reading it.

keep up the good work.

Roy, thank you so much for your comment! Yes, I´m not too sure where my style comes from, it´s just the way it comes out. Unfortunately I work very long hours but, I very much enjoy your work too, and will strive to keep up! xx
